Alaskan Frontline: The Aleutian Islands In WWII
The Alaskan Frontline Exhibit features objects from what historians refer to as the "Forgotten War," the war in the Aleutian Islands during World War II. The Battle of Attu and Kiska were the only battles on American soil during the entire War and were the first time an enemy had invaded mainland United States since 1812. Follow the stories of individual men and the artifacts they left behind in this forgotten chapter in American History!
